"My time being an at EVMC (formerly EAMC) was pivotal in starting out and shaping my career. Not only did I get to learn so much from our industry leaders and be involved in impactful and inspiring conversations, but I also got to join a community of the best marketers in the world. Making connections and forming relationships is what makes EVMC so incredibly special and valuable. I even met my best friend to this day at EVMC.

As I now take on a Vice President of Marketing role in my current career, the tools and connections I’ve made from just starting as an intern – has helped me tenfold (whether I’m working on a big tour, creating activations, or ideating on new digital/social executions). I’m now bringing that excitement in a true full circle by joining the EVMC planning committee. If you’re considering joining the industry, or have interest in marketing for live events – this is the conference for you! You won’t regret being a part of this community."

"I interned with EVMC in 2022 and was introduced to many live entertainment professionals in the industry. If you’re looking for a great opportunity with your dream company, this is the internship for you. I’m currently the Marketing Coordinator at Bridgestone Arena because of a connection I met at the conference!"

"The EVMC internship program opens the doors for talented new grads to meet and learn from entertainment industry professionals (many of which have job opportunities or connections), and it is an immersive program like no other. EVMC has taken me and my career across North America. From my internship in New Orleans to landing my first job in San Antonio with the Spurs, and returning to the conference each year in LA, Tulsa, Nashville, Toronto, Minneapolis, Vegas, and more, attending EVMC is always a highlight of my year. It is the glue which brings the small community of bright and talented entertainment marketers together, allowing us to share ideas and learn from each other with the common goal of shaping the future of the entertainment industry - and having a ton of fun in the process.

Now as the Director of Marketing for North American promoter Outback Presents in Nashville, TN, I am astonished with what I have been able to learn and accomplish and the connections I’ve made over the last 10 years-  beginning with my internship at EVMC. Without it, I probably would be working at  PR/Advertising agency in Philadelphia  (Not that that isn’t great, but I much prefer the chaos of Live!) If you feel inspired by connecting artists with their fans and are trying to figure out “what’s next” after graduation - apply for the EVMC internship program. It will change your life!"

"My internship at EVMC (formerly EAMC) was the starting point for my career.  Being a student at Boise State University in Idaho, I did not have much access to the music & events industry.  Though I interned at my Arena all throughout college, I was capped by my location.  My internship at EVMC allowed me to break into the industry & meet some very valuable mentors.  It was through these relationships that I was able to get my first job as a marketing coordinator at Bellator MMA.  This internship helped me find a job in San Jose, California & break out of Idaho.

I am now the Senior Marketing Manager at BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  To this day I still am extremely connected to the conference & even am on the internship committee hoping to give students the same opportunity as I had.  Today, I manage strategic marketing for over 100 events a year.  It is crazy how small the events industry is & the relationships I created from this internship will last a lifetime.  Though this internship lasted only a week, the committee was dedicated to helping me land a role in the industry even post-conference.  If you want to market live events, this is the internship for you."
